PRAYAGRAJ: In a shocking incident, a woman died by suicide suicide along with her three kids, including a one-year-old infant, by jumping in the well in
Uttar Pradesh's Pratapgarh district, after her husband refused to take them to Mumbai along with him.
The incident occurred at Aurangabad village under Kohdaur police station of the district.
According to police, the husband of the deceased had gone to Mumbai last month and had recently come back for a short visit.
The woman wanted that she and her two kids would also go with him and on his refusal, she jumped in the well and police recovered their bodies on Thursday.
Police investigation revealed that a woman took the extreme step by jumping into the well with her three children after a tiff with her husband.

Sohanlal lives in Mumbai while his wife Pramila used to live in their native village with their three children. Sohanlal had returned to the village around a month back and since then Pramila was adamant on going with him to Mumbai with their children. The issue resulted in a heated argument between them.
On Wednesday evening, Pramila left home with her children Sonali 7, Shivansh 5 and Divyansh 1. Sohanlal was worried when he learnt that Pramila was not at her parent's home in Ramganj area of Amethi district. Sohanlal was searching for his wife and children without informing police about their disappearance.
Meanwhile, on Thursday morning locals had gone to offer prayers close to the well when they spotted four bodies inside the well. Circle Officer Karishma Gupta reached the spot with heavy force on receiving information.
Karishma Gupta said bodies of the woman and her three children found in the well were taken out and sent for autopsy. Primary investigations revealed that the woman had a scuffle with her husband over going to Mumbai. The woman's kin have not made any allegations yet, she added.
